Festival of Trees brings nearly 50 decorated trees to Estes Park Resort

November in Estes Park has a quiet charm, and this is one of the best ways to lean into it. The Estes Park Quota Club opens its annual Festival of Trees on Wednesday, November 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Estes Park Resort, and admission is free.
Nearly 50 decorated Christmas trees will fill the resort, each one decorated by local individuals, businesses, and organizations with its own theme and personality. Opening night includes homemade holiday cookies and hot cocoa, a life size snow globe for photos, a visit with Santa Claus, and a chance to make an ornament to take home while supplies last.
The festival is also a fundraiser for Quota's charitable work in the Estes Valley. Visitors can buy chances to win their favorite decorated trees for $1 per ticket, six for $5, or 13 for $10. Four special trees will be given away during the November 11 kickoff celebration.
If you cannot make opening night, the trees stay on display at the Estes Park Resort through Sunday, December 13, with the final drawing beginning at 3 p.m. That makes it an easy stop to add to a November or early December day in town, after a morning on the trails or before dinner.
Events like this one run on local generosity. The listed sponsors include Ember Restaurant and Bar, the Estes Park Resort, Estes Park News, Bank of Colorado, First Colorado Realty, Rock Cut Brewery, and others across town. A room full of trees decorated by your neighbors, all supporting local charitable work, is a fine way to start the holiday season in the valley.
